WILDFIRE COMMUNITY PREPAREDNESS DAY IS MAY 4

May 4, 2024 is Wildfire Community Preparedness Day and marks an opportunity for people of all ages to take part in activities that raise awareness about wildfire risks and work on projects to reduce these risks in their communities.

TWO WAYS TO GET INVOLVED AT BBR

1. HELP US PULL BITTERBRUSH

Come join us on Saturday, May 4 from 8am to 10am to pull bitterbrush and protect the Ranch from wildfire. We will meet at the Sports Field near the Big Meadow gate. Please bring a shovel, gloves, water, closed-toe shoes, and weather-appropriate clothing. We will have coffee and donuts for our dedicated volunteers.

Please let us know whether you will be able to attend by contacting Natural Resources Manager, Jake Derksen at jderksen@bbranch.org or call (541) 595-1532.

2. GET A HEAD START ON RAKING YOUR NEEDLES

In our ongoing effort to improve fire safety, the Maintenance Department will be coordinating one FREE needle pickup for each homeowner lot. You must schedule your pickup with the Maintenance Department at 541-595-1527 BEFORE JUNE 1 to qualify for this free pickup. See details under Owner Services.
