Enjoy the Finest in Mountain Golf
Our Oregon golf resort offers two scenic and challenging championship courses that showcase the best golf in Oregon. Sculpted fairways intertwine with Aspen groves and Ponderosa pine trees that frame breathtaking views of the Cascade Mountains—no other golf venue in Central Oregon comes close.
Glaze Meadow Golf Course
For years, thousands of golfers have considered Glaze Meadow Golf Course at Black Butte Ranch to be the most iconic in Central Oregon. When the course reopened in 2012 after an extensive $3.75 million renovation by architect John Fought, golfers were treated to an experience unlike anything else in Central Oregon. Featuring slightly elevated greens, square tee boxes and deep grass-faced bunkers, the new Glaze Meadow reflects the spirit of classic golf course design in a true mountain setting.
Glaze Meadow plays 7,007 yards from the back tees. The modernization of the design includes five sets of tees on every hole, allowing golfers of all skill levels to enjoy the game. The course features meticulously groomed bluegrass-rye fairways, with gentle hills and hollows surrounding the bent grass greens. The rolling landscape, accented by quaking Aspens, Ponderosa pines and spectacular views of the Cascade peaks, including North Sister and Mt. Washington, provides a sophisticated journey that is engaging and memorable.

Big Meadow Golf Course
The stunning Big Meadow is a favorite among Oregon’s golfers, garnering numerous awards over its 30-plus years. In 2013 it was honored by GolfWeek Magazine as one of the “Best Courses You Can Play” in Oregon. This straightforward Robert Muir Graves design takes golfers through a grand journey of the Oregon Cascades. Updated in 2007, the course stretches over 7,000 yards from the championship tees and features expansive fairways, sweeping cape-and-bay bunkers and elevated green complexes to challenge golfers of all skill levels.
Every component of the course is integrated into the spectacular mountain setting of Black Butte Ranch with towering Ponderosa pines and shimmering stands of Aspen trees. The fourteenth hole presents one of the Northwest’s finest golf course photography opportunities, providing golfers with a dramatic view of Three Fingered Jack, a jagged volcanic peak rising above the Central Oregon landscape. Golfers and non-golfers alike will enjoy Robert’s Pub inside Big Meadow Clubhouse, providing a casual dining experience and the best views in Central Oregon.
NEW Putting Course to be Constructed alongside Big Meadow Golf Course
The Black Butte Ranch Board has considered the addition of a first-class Putting Course at the Ranch for several years and recently put those plans in motion. The new Putting Course will expand upon the family centric menu of activities for those visiting the Ranch. Plans are underway to bring this project to life during the Spring of 2020.
Designed by golf course architect, John Fought*, the NEW Putting Course will be constructed alongside the NE corner of the #9 fairway at Big Meadow where it will sit between the Tennis Courts to its North and Robert’s Pub to it’s South. When completed the design of the Putting Course will allow for a starting and finishing point near Robert’s Pub where the amenity will be easily serviceable by our team of golf and food & beverage professionals. Construction will begin next April with a targeted Grand Opening over the July 4th, 2020 holiday.
