RiverStone Rafting, Sun Country Tours and Ouzel Outfitters provide rafting trips and family adventures during the summer. Each company is full-service with pickup and drop-off at Lakeside Activity Center at Black Butte Ranch. Guarantee your Oregon river rafting adventure with advance reservations (paid 48 hours prior to departure and a minimum number of participants).

Family river rafting trips have been Ouzel’s focus for almost 30 years. Downhill Mountain Bike Tour
The Paulina Plunge Downhill/Waterfall Mountain Bike Tour will guide you to the scenic waterfalls and slides of Paulina Creek. Riding the two natural water slides will be the highlight of your vacation. The tour consists of four 1.5 mile biking segments to each waterfall stop. While coasting down the smooth dirt forest trail, you will be close to the shimmering waterfalls of the stream. The tour includes visits to up to six pristine waterfalls, ranging in height from 10 to 40 feet, as well as two safe natural watersides where you may explore and play. Two short energetic nature hikes, at a distance of 1/2 mile each, will be required to reach the enchanting waterfalls and slides below. This safe, fun family excursion is attractive for all active age groups, ages 4 & up; bike and helmet included.
Guided Fly Fishing
The Central Oregon area draws fly fishers from around the world to test their skill in the area’s pristine waters. The Metolius River, located just five miles northwest of the Ranch, offers challenging fly fishing in an incredible setting. Guided fly-fishing trips are also available through the Fly Fisher’s Place in Sisters. They offer a variety of fly-fishing experiences in the area, as well as Fly Fishing Schools that include all equipment. Float trips are available on the Deschutes, McKenzie and South Santiam rivers. Walk-wade trips are available on the Crooked River, Upper McKenzie and the North Santiam Rivers. Lake Classes on private lakes, including Phalarope Lake at Black Butte Ranch, are also available.
