Great summer deals, golf schools, kids days, and more coming in the days ahead

No time is quite like July. Your golf game is in full swing, Glaze Meadow and Big Meadow are perfect, and Black Butte Ranch is teeming with energy.

July always bustles with the sight of families enjoying endless summer activities and friends creating a shared memory or two.

Of course, July is easily one of the best times to play Glaze Meadow and Big Meadow, which are both serving up ideal conditions and some fun events. More than that, July is a time to rediscover your game. By now most golfers have played enough to know what is working with their golf swings, and what is ailing.

Black Butte Ranch’s staff of golf professionals are here to help. As always, we welcome one-and-one instructional opportunities with any of our professionals. But July features a full schedule of clinics and schools, each designed to rapidly improve your game.

“Our clinics help ease the pressure of instruction, and each offers a fun, comfortable learning environment,” says Jeff Fought, Black Butte Ranch’s director of instruction. “And if your game is out of sync, or you just want to improve, there is no better time to work on your game than during the peak of the golf season.”

No golfer should be forced to suffer through the summer. For more information on how to take a lesson from any of our Black Butte Ranch instructors, visit our lessons page or call 541-595-1294 to sign up.

  • Learning the game together can be a fantastic way for kids and parents to bond. For this, Black Butte Ranch has created the unique Adult/Child Golf Clinic. The first is a two-day clinic (the only multi-day clinic in the series) scheduled for July 5-6. After that, clinics are held every Friday through Aug. 17. Each day includes two hours of instruction from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for both parents and their children, and priceless time spent together.
  • Black Butte Ranch will host its two-day Ladies Only Golf School through the month (July 2-3, July 11-12, July 18-19, July 25-26, Aug. 8-9). Designed for women of all abilities, the clinic is designed to be productive sessions that are non-intimidating no matter the skill level.
  • The two-day, 100-Yards-and-In Clinic (July 7-8, July 14-15, July 21-22, and July 28-29) continue through July. The clinic focuses solely on the short game, which is perhaps the quickest way way to shave strokes.
  • Our popular two-day Junior Golf Camps (July 2-3, July 10-11, July 17-18, July 24-25, July 31-Aug. 1) are a great place for kids to sharpen their skills. The Ranch tailors instruction to the age and abilities of each student. Each class size is limited, which allows for plenty of attention from Black Butte Ranch’s staff of golf professionals.
  • Play Like in Your Dreams is a new series of clinics (July 9-10, July 23-24, Aug. 6-7, Aug. 13-14, Sept. 8-9, and Sept. 15-16) hosted by Black Butte Ranch director of instruction George Mack Jr. Designed to simplify the game and remove variables for rapid improvement, the two-day golf schools represent a revolutionary way to learn.

  • Every Thursday through August, Glaze Meadow’s practice putting green will host the Junior Putting Challenge at 3:30 p.m. The $5 entry fee includes ice cream.  Directly following, at 4:30 p.m., Black Butte Ranch will host SNAG Golf (Starting New At Golf) at the Glaze Meadow driving range. The FREE lesson introduces kids age 7 and older to golf by using fun, oversized equipment. To sign up, call 541-595-1500 or stop by the Big Meadow golf shop.
  • Take advantage of Black Butte Ranch’s Summer Season Stay & Play special. Stay in a Black Butte Ranch vacation rental and purchase a two-round golf voucher valid at Big Meadow or Glaze Meadow, including cart and range balls, for just $135 per card. Call 541-595-1252 for details.
