Unlimited golf rates, special golf packages, perfect weather, and golf conditions mark the months to come
The winding down of summer can feel cruel for some. But not for the savviest of Central Oregon golfers. In fact, if the the peak of the golf season at Black Butte Ranch is July and early August, call the months that follow the golf season’s pinnacle.
What is so special about this time of year?
Gorgeous weather that tops out in the 70s? Check. Two championship golf courses in peak condition with emerald green turf inviting golfers from everywhere? Relatively light crowds on the course, in restaurants, and lodging specials that make a trip to Central Oregon just a bit more affordable? You bet.
“I think this time all the way through early October is the best time of year to come out and play,” said Jeff Fought, Black Butte Ranch’s director of golf. “The kids are long gone and back to school, so the adults can come out and play.”
Black Butte Ranch has marked the beginning of the pinnacle golf season with a few special golf rates of its own. Beginning Monday, Aug. 21, Black Butte Ranch is inviting golfers to play as much golf as they want on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays for just $99 at either Glaze Meadow or Big Meadow. In addition, our summer golf special will continue through Aug. 31. Golfers can play 18 holes before 7:30 a.m., or between noon and 2 p.m. for just $64.
And Black Butte Ranch makes the pinnacle of the golf season even better with its lodging and unlimited golf packages that begin at just $139 per person, per night.
For $119 per person, per night, guests will stay in a Black Butte Ranch lodge room, receive one day of unlimited golf at both Big Meadow and Glaze Meadow for each night stayed, a Black Butte Ranch logo cap, a 20 percent merchandise voucher at the Black Butte Ranch golf shops, and an accommodation microbrew amenity. There may be no better deal in Central Oregon.
Of course, a good rate alone is not what makes this time of year and ideal time to enjoy Black Butte Ranch’s golf courses. Yes, things tend to slow down down around here once the kids have gone back to school. More than that, the clear, bright and warm Central Oregon days don’t suddenly disappear once the calendar turns to September. Quite the contrary.
Eventually the landscape comes alive as the leaves of the aspen trees turn from green to autumn’s yellows and oranges. The sky typically remains bright and cloudless while the air cools just enough to make the days perfectly pleasant.
“There is a reason that golf groups tend to flock to Black Butte Ranch in the late summer and early fall,” Fought said. “It is so beautiful here, it’s just a bit quieter, and the golf courses at Black Butte Ranch are still in incredible shape.”
