September can be a magical time in Central Oregon and it is a time for wonderful events at Black Butte Ranch.

The headline event is clearly Grapes & Golf, Sept. 14-16, which is easily among the most popular and fun events the whole year. One of Black Butte Ranch’s Signature Golf Events, Grapes & Golf uniquely pairs the heralded layouts at Big Meadow and Glaze Meadow, tasting of an impressive selection of world-class wines, and delectable fine dining into a singular event.

The combination of wine, food, and golf is perfect for couples, which is exactly what Black Butte Ranch had in mind when it first created Grapes & Golf six years ago.

Couples play 18 holes of best ball on Friday at Glaze Meadow then follow that with an 18-hole Stableford at Big Meadow. Couples are also invited to play a practice round on Thursday at either championship golf course. And cart is included for all three rounds.

But golf is only part of the story. Sponsored by Chateau Ste. Michelle Wine Estates, Grapes & Golf participants will have an opportunity to taste wines from many of the world’s great wine-producing regions at Thursday’s wine, cheese and hors d’oeuvres reception, including Torres Rose’, Antinori Bianco, Drumheller Chardonnay, Villa Maria private bin Sauv Blanc, Northstar Merlot, Drumheller Cabernet, Spring Valley Cab Franc, Tenet Pundit, Motto Zinfandel, Seven Falls Rapids Red, Intrinsic, and Stag’s Leap “Hands of Time” Red Blend.

And the Grapes & Golf culinary highlight tees off Friday evening with a four-course wine dinner.

“Grapes and Golf appeals most to couples looking for a truly high-end golf, wine and dining experience,” said Kendal Daiger, Black Butte Ranch’s director of sales and marketing and organizer of the event. “It is designed to please both husband and wife or boyfriend and girlfriend. And that is what sets the event apart from most.”

The cost is $750 per two-person team, and lodging specials, including a 15 percent discount off Black Butte Ranch’s nightly rate, are available for Grapes & Golf participants. Don’t miss a chance to be a part of a truly unique golf experience.
