Let’s Get Barking!
BBC + BBR: Volunteer Work Party
Wednesday, May 7
9am-11am
8:45am check-in @ Big Meadow Golf Course parking lot
Now that the weather has turned to spring, we have scheduled our first BBC volunteer work party! We will be spreading bark chips to ensure that our nature trails are pleasant to walk on so we can get out into that meadow and enjoy the views. We started this project last fall and those who participated all had a great time.
Bring work gloves, and a rake. A sturdy rake will be best – one of those that looks more like a bristle mustache than a turkey tail. If you don’t have one, our Natural Resources people are bringing some extras. Dress for the weather, and bring water if it will be warm.
If you’re interested in participating but have a condition where the physical labor is not possible right now, I am looking for a volunteer to help sign everyone in at the parking lot. If you’re interested, let me know.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
PS Before we spread the bark, please spread the word about this to any friends you think might enjoy participating in this work party. Our email list is growing but there are always more people out there that might enjoy this kind of community building!
