One of the most popular traditions at Black Butte Ranch will be underway here in a few days. What is it? Well, its the annual cap special, of course.

Through the month of April, a golfer can play 18 holes at Black Butte Ranch for $42. In addition, golfers will receive a free Black Butte Ranch golf cap with a paid green fee.

The front of the cap displays Black Butte Ranch’s familiar logo. But this year is particularly special. The design of the hat commemorates Black Butte Ranch’s 45th anniversary — which we will be celebrating all year long — with a stitched red-and-white logo on the side that reads “celebrating 45 years.”

Important to note. On April 3, Black Butte Ranch is opening Glaze Meadow and closing Big Meadow, as the maintenance staff works on projects to reseed the 13th green and improve the course’s bunkering. That still leaves one of the most celebrated golf courses in Central Oregon to play and a free hat. Not too shabby.

Through April, golfers can also also play nine holes for $27 after 2 p.m., but a cap is not included. The cap special will not last long, ending on May 1.
