Sharpen your skills and expand your creative vision while learning about the latest in photography. You’ll find inspiration abounds in our carefully crafted Pacific Northwest itinerary with Rick Schafer’s personalized expert instruction. | ||
About the WorkshopMulti-Day workshops take place over the course of three days and two nights. Combining classroom sessions with corresponding field sessions, students will learn to use the camera as a creative tool. ![]()      Image by PIA Instructor Rick Schafer We will discuss camera presets to help determine correct exposure and depth of field, studying the concepts of composition, light and teaching students how to see the world more creatively through the camera lens. Students will receive a workbook which includes daily scheduling, tips on being prepared with equipment and organized for being in the classroom and the field. Lesson plans, field sessions and pages for notes are also included. This year we have selected some locations off the Ranch that we will be carpooling to, based on the weather conditions and opportunities that we are presented with. Get ready for a great weekend of learning and exploration in one of the most beautiful regions in the Pacific Northwest. For those returning students, we look forward to seeing you again, and for the first time students, welcome. |
