Bargain hunters rejoice. One of Black Butte Ranch’s biggest sales of the golf season is now upon us.
Held each September, the tent sale at the Big Meadow Golf Shop (Sept. 3-4, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.) and Glaze Meadow Sidewalk Sale (Sept. 2-5, 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m.) always tee off a busy month by offering some of the best deals of the year. Merchandise will be discounted from 30 to 75 percent off retail prices, and even much of the newest equipment that stock the shelves of the golf shop will be discounted.
“Everything is going to be on sale,” said Jeff Fought, the director of golf at Black Butte Ranch. “This is one of the best chances of the year to get the latest and greatest at a great price.”
The sale will offer items from most of golf’s premier designers, and that includes Black Butte Ranch’s logoed glassware and apparel for men, women, and children. Shoes, logo golf bags, sunglass, headwear of all kinds, drivers, putters, wedges, and more will all be discounted.

The 5th Annual Grapes & Golf Couples Golf Event, one of four Black Butte Ranch Signature Events, will tee off from Thursday, Sept. 8 through Saturday, Sept. 10. One of Black Butte Ranch’s most popular events, the 36-hole tournament features tournament rounds at both Big Meadow and Glaze Meadow paired perfectly with a festival of food and wine. The final Couples Hit & Giggle event will be held on Sunday, Sept. 18. Designed to be noncompetitive and welcoming to golfers of all skill levels, the Hit & Giggle tournaments are low-pressure events meant to be fun and social for couples. Tee times begin at 3 p.m. Cost is $99 per couple ($59 for annual pass holders), and includes nine holes of golf, glass of wine or beer, and a selection from a five-item menu.
