Black Butte Ranch set out four years ago to create a signature event that was truly unique. The idea was to craft something that combines the most wonderful things that couples can enjoy together.
The event would feature world-class golf, a jaw-dropping array of wine, and delectable fine dining. And Black Butte Ranch wanted to offer it with value in mind.
The result was the Grapes & Golf Couples Event, which will be held from Sept. 10-12 in what is the fourth annual edition of the increasingly popular event.
Why all the excitement?
“It provides a great opportunity to come and enjoy our incredible golf courses along with an amazing array of wines provided through our sponsor, Ste. Michelle Winery, and just superb cuisine,” says Kendal Daiger, who organizes the tournament and is Black Butte Ranch’s director of sales and marketing. “The food that we serve is unbelievable.”
Part of what makes Grapes & Golf such a unique event is its ability to give so many magnificent offerings equal billing.
Start with the golf. Black Butte Ranch always does. Couples play 18 holes of best ball on Friday and an 18-hole Stableford on Saturday, enjoying play at Big Meadow and recently renovated Glaze Meadow along the way. More than that, couples are invited to play a practice round on Thursday at either championship golf course. And cart is included for all three rounds.
Foodies and lovers of the vine will have more than just birdies to tantalize them, too. Sponsored by Chateau Ste. Michelle Wine Estates, Grapes & Golf participants will have an opportunity to taste wines from many of the world’s great wine-producing regions at Thursday’s wine, cheese and hors d’oeuvres reception. Friday evening’s four-course wine dinner, prepared by Chef Mark Barnes of Black Butte Ranch’s Lodge Restaurant, is the event’s off-the-course highlight.
Grapes & Golf also includes two breakfasts and an awards luncheon, and the golf tournament includes tee prizes, gifts, and net and gross prize payouts. In addition, Nike Golf, the event’s golf sponsor, will be on hand providing an exclusive shopping experience, and Grapes & Golf participants will have the opportunity to demo the latest Nike equipment.
Sounds pretty good, right?
And at just $750 per couple, the value of the event is undeniable.
“You won’t find an experience or a value like this anywhere,” Daiger says. “Grapes and Golf is unique. It’s an event for couples looking for a high-end golf and wine and dining experience. There is no other event in the region quite like it.”
Entries are limited to the first 60 couples, so don’t miss a chance to share something wonderful with your significant other. Lodging specials are also available for Grapes & Golfers.
