The Rec Center is housed in the original mechanics building from the early homestead days. It is located on Hawks Beard, between the Lakeside Bistro and the Country House Condos. A playground and video arcade are located there and sports equipment, games and other activities are available f or rental or checkout.
Rec Center programs run during the summer (Generally mid-June through Labor Day) and on weekends and holidays during the other seasons–check the Rec Guide, or call 541-595-1282 for current activities. During the fall, winter and spring seasons, the Arcade is open Saturdays 10:00AM-5:00PM and Sundays 10:00AM-3:00PM. The Rec Center is open extended hours during the holidays.
The Rec Center provides supervision for those children enrolled in scheduled Recreation programs. Kids 9 years and younger may not be left unattended. All visitors should know their Ranch phone number and address.
The Video Arcade is also located at the Rec Barn (adjoining the Rec Center) and includes video games, ping pong and air hockey. The games take quarters only and a change machine is available at the Rec Barn. See the Rec Guide for hours of operation and current activities.
The Glaze Meadow Recreation Center is located at the center of the Ranch and includes pools, hot tub, steam room, Sports Shop, fitness rooms and Spa.
Sports Field |
The Sports Field is located at the “Y,” on Hawks Beard, near Big Meadow Golf Course. Facilites include restrooms, a playground, soccer and softball fields, and basketball courts, and a sand volleyball area.
Softball equipment, soccer balls, frisbees, volleyballs, basketballs, footballs, playground balls, and croquet sets are available for free check out from the Recreation Center. You must know your Ranch phone and homesite numbers to check out equipment. To make reservations for the Sports Field, call 541-595-1282 or email Recreation@BlackButteRanch.com.

In additon to those basketball hoops at the Sports Field, there are more located on Bowdeni near the Glaze Meadow Recreation Center, and at the Upper Glaze Meadow tennis courts on Triflorium.

There are three playgrounds on the Ranch. They are located at the Recreation Center, the Sports Field, and at the Glaze Meadow Recreation Center. Please supervise your children so they will play safely.
