Serving up Fun!

Recreation at the Ranch can be as simple as taking a walk on the bike paths or as complex as multi-day tennis lessons or guided trips with local outfitters. Among the facilities at Black Butte Ranch are five pools, 18 miles of bike paths, 23 plexi-paved tennis courts, boats to rent on Phalarope Lake by the Lodge or to take off Ranch to Clear Lake.

There are two main recreation hubs on the Ranch, the Rec Center and Video Arcade at the Rec Barn and the Glaze Meadow Recreation Center.

The Rec Center and Arcade are located near the Lodge. During the summer, they host kids activities, sports, craft sessions, games and board games. The Rec Center is the pickup point for many adventures with local outfitters, and is the site for informal folk concerts during the summer.

The Glaze Meadow Recreation Center (GMRC) is home to the indoor pool, sauna, hot tub, outdoor pool and toddler pool, as well as Cybex fitness equipment, a yoga room, Rental Shop for bikes, skis and other items, a Sports Shop and our Spa.

. Myra will be back to teach Yoga over Memorial Day weekend at the GMRC.- May 24, 25 and 26 at 8:00AM. $10 drop in fee.

Year-round Fun at Black Butte Ranch

Spring is a beautiful time to see the high desert wake up from the winter. Hiking, biking, bird watching and photography are popular pastimes.

Summer During the summer (generally mid-June through Labor Day) the Ranch offers three pools, 18 miles of bike paths, adventure recreation, boating, trail rides and more. Trails for all Seasons guidebook may be purchased at the Sports Shop or at Access/Registration.

Fall provides some of the best golf and scenery imaginable, with the warm glow of summer still ingering. September in Sisters is filled with festivals and artistic events, and there's always something new to see. Biking, tennis, hiking and swimming at the Glaze Meadow pool are available.

Winter provides a quiet time of tranquility, a time to sit by a crackling fire and soak up the breath-taking views of snow covered peaks. Nordic and Alpine Ski parks are just a few miles up the road. The tent-covered pool is open year-round to relax after a day of play.

Please note: some facilities or activities are weather dependent or seasonal in nature, and are not available year-round. Summer is generally considered to be mid-June through Labor Day. All activities, dates and prices are subject to change without notice. Children under the age of 10 may not be left unattended.
