Spring tune-ups at Black Butte Ranch will help get the golf season off on right foot

Getting the golf season off on the right foot can be a tricky proposition. After a long winter, we are all itching to get out and play, but no golfer wants to start the year off by entrenching a new bad habit.

The three-day spring tune-up clinics at Black Butte Ranch will help golfers on both fronts. The team of PGA professionals at Black Butte Ranch will be holding three separate clinics in May, scheduled for May 8-10, 15-17, and 22-24. Each session is comprised of three, 1.5-hour lessons and are held in a small group setting. Black Butte Ranch instructors focus on refining a golfer’s basic short-game and full-swing fundamentals.

In addition to the lessons, clinic participants will enjoy a complimentary nine-hole round after each day of the clinic.

“The spring tune-ups are an excellent way to get tips that you can work on for the rest of the season,” said Tom Baker, head golf professional at Black Butte Ranch. “There is no better time that the beginning of the golf season to refine your fundamentals and improve your swing thoughts. We want to nip any bad habits in the bud before they ever become a problem on the course.”

Think of the clinics as an investment. Working on all facets of the game from tee to green, might be surprised at the progress that can be made in three days under the tutelage of a PGA pro. And those benefits should pay dividends throughout the entire golf season.

With the cost to attend each three-day clinic at just $120, the financial investment is minimal

Each session begins at 2 p.m., and golfers of all skill levels are welcome.

“The lessons combined with 27 holes of golf make for an excellent value,” Baker said. “Plus, it’s a friendly, fun atmosphere, yet personalized at the same time.”

Space is filling up in the popular spring tune-ups. Don’t miss a chance to get on the correct road to better golf right at the beginning of the season.
