Fun Run & Walk
|
The day starts off with a Fun Run & Walk around the Big Meadow (or to the Clubhouse for kids route.) Call 541-595-1282 for details or check our Registration form. The event is FREE. Tee shirts commemorating the event are $15. Registration begins at 7:30AM and the race starts at 8:00AM. Print a registration form here. |

Bike Decorating Party
|
Owners, guests, grandkids and dogs all get together to decorate their bikes and then ride in the parade. Join us at the Sports Field for the Bike Decorating Party at 10:30AM. Bring your own supplies, or buy a kit with streamers, ribbon and balloons for $3. This is a fine time to rent a Wheel Fun Bike from the Rec Center to ride in the parade. Rent a Surrey Wheel Fun Bike and take Grandma and the kids along too! Call the Rec Center at 541-595-1282 to inquire about Wheel Fun bikes. Our Rental Shop carries Specialized bikes for rent, as well as toddler bikes, trail-a-bikes and tandems too. Call 541-595-5877 for rental information about these traditional-style bikes.

The 4th of July Bike Parade
|
Next is the event not to be missed-the annual 4th of July bicycle parade, led by our own Sparky and the BBR Fire Department engines. The parade begins at 11:30AM. It travels a few blocks from the Sports Field to the Rec Center, where more fun awaits. Check out our 2007 photo gallery of the parade. |

Fun & Games on the Rec Center Lawn
|
Local celebrity Biff Harley provides entertainment, and a summer buffet is available for lunch. Parents can relax on the Rec Center lawn, listen to music and watch the kids play old fashioned 4th of July games like wheelbarrow races and water balloon toss contests with prizes. The portable Climbing Wall will be set up from 1:00PM-3:00PM. The cost is $5 per climber and a signed waiver is required. Don't forget your camera. Bluegrass Music from 6:00-8:00pm by Masala Mostess at the Rec Center lawn - free. Pie and Ice Cream for $3. 7:00pm - Movie at the Rec Center- Sandlot (PG) |

Fireworks Viewing
|
For fireworks viewing, the city of Bend puts on a fine display from the top of Pilot Butte. It is the second largest display in the whole state! You can also watch the almost-annual Burning of the Butte resulting from errant fireworks for an added attraction. Remember, because of our location in the forest, fireworks are not permitted on the Ranch. Even sparklers can cause a fire!

Hike the Sisters Community Trails System - map Hike Iron Mountain to see the diverse wildflowers Hike Black Butte and get a birds eye view of the Ranch, Canoe on Clear Lake and look into an ancient petrified forest Or, just stay on the Ranch and enjoy our five pools, 18 miles of bike paths and 23 tennis courts.
