BLACK BUTTE RANCH FIRE INFORMATION UPDATE

...................................................................................................................................
BBR Emergency Preparedness Plan: AWARENESS

There is a fire in the area, that is not an immediate threat to the Ranch.

Level 1 is a heightened awareness of emergency procedures and is an information and preparation stage only. The BBR Police and Fire departments and Ranch staff are on alert as a safety precaution Owners and guests will be notified if any other action is needed. We will update this report when further information becomes available.

CURRENT CONDITIONS - Fire # 601

Bulletin # 25

This is an information update for Monday, August 25th  2008 at 8:30 AM.

There are continued good reports from all fire activities in the surrounding area.  Low temperatures and high humidity over the next few days, combined with hard work from fire fighters, will continue to inhibit the fires from spreading.

The Mt. Washington Fire burning within the wilderness is still listed at 110 acres and 50% contained.  There has been no visible smoke from the fire, when viewed from the Ranch, for about a week.

The Summit Springs Complex fires are located between 10 and 20 miles north and east of Sisters and are 45% contained and within established control lines.  All fires are in “mop up” activities inside the fire lines, where fire crews are advancing on foot with shovels and fire hoses and extinguishing any hot spots.  None of the Summit Springs Complex fires are a threat to the Ranch.

Since the fires are controlled and declining, this will be our last fire information update.  We will only update our report if conditions worsen or new fires begin.

All Ranch services are in full operation on normal summer business schedules. We look forward to a great Labor Day weekend just ahead.  Thank you and have a great day on the Ranch.
