Black Butte Ranch season-ending celebration shotgun on tap at Glaze Meadow

This has been another wonderful golf season at Black Butte Ranch, and one that has not yet relented. But like all wonderful things, it will eventually come to an end.

Glaze Meadow is scheduled to be the first of Black Butte Ranch’s two golf courses to close for the season. But before it does shut down, on Oct. 17, we want to throw one last great golf party.

On Sunday, Oct. 16, Black Butte Ranch will hold a Season Finale golf tournament at Glaze Meadow to celebrate Glaze Meadow’s final day of the season.

The tournament will be a fun, low-key four-person shamble at a rate that will be difficult to pass up. Golfers can take part for just $55 per person or $200 per team, and the price includes golf, cart, range balls, and a free barbecue lunch.

Most importantly, the atmosphere should be a festive one.

“I can’t think of a better way to send out Glaze Meadow for the season,” says Jeff Fought, Black Butte Ranch’s director of golf. “Shambles are easily among the most enjoyable formats out there. And it marks one last chance to play one of the best golf courses in Central Oregon, all at a rate that is significantly less than during the peak season.”

The day will mark the end of a momentous year for Glaze Meadow. Redesigned in 2012, Glaze Meadow has continually matured since its reopening. As proof, Glaze Meadow was selected to host the 2016 Oregon Amateur Championship, a tournament that was met with praise from tournament organizers.

“It really has been a tremendous year for Glaze Meadow,” Fought said. “Slowly but surely golfers are recognizing that Glaze Meadow is one of the top golf courses in Oregon.”

Don’t miss a chance to stretch the golf season for at least one more spectacular day.
