The weather is most certainly turning and frost is now in the air. With Halloween 2015 in the past and the calendar flipped to November, Black Butte Ranch is down to the waning moments of the golf season.
With Glaze Meadow already closed for the season, superintendent Phil Lagao and his staff have turned their attention to Big Meadow. That means the process of getting Big Meadow ready for the winter has begun.
As a result, Big Meadow’s hours are changing. Big Meadow’s driving range will continue to stay open daily, so long as the snow and ice stays away. But beginning Monday, Nov. 2, only Big Meadow’s front nine is open, weather permitting.
Big Meadow’s Golf Shop will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Once the winter weather closes the course for the season, the shop hours will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
At $35, green fees are the lowest of the year, of course.
