Pet Friendly Vacation Rentals

We understand that your pet is part of the family and we encourage you to bring your fury family member to one of our pet friendly accommodations. We have over 20 homes available for you and your dog.  Please be sure to mention you are bringing Fido on vacation and our vacation planner will help you find just the perfect home.

The Ranch is an ideal place to enjoy walks, bike rides or snowshoeing with your best friend, and there are 18 miles of paved paths at the ranch, and numerous hiking/snowshoeing/mountain biking trails within minutes of the Ranch.  Don’t forget to post your pet vacation photos on the Black Butte Ranch Facebook page.

Our pet friendly homes also feature a cozy blanket for your special friend, plastic bags for dog pooh clean up, dog treats, and water and food bowls.

Pet Friendly Details

Register Your Dog

All dogs must be registered with Black Butte Ranch prior to arrival.

Size and Breed

Generally our pet friendly homes welcome dogs of all sizes and breeds, however there are some restrictions for some of our homes that only allow for one pet or smaller pets.

Pet Fee

For every dog you bring to Black Butte Ranch, there is a $60 per pet nonrefundable pet cleaning fee.  This pet fee covers the additional time it takes to clean up carpets, upholstery and bedding of pet hair.  Our goal is to ensure that every dog friendly property gives the impression that it has never had a dog in it.  

Helpful Packing Tips

Black Butte Ranch provides one dog blanket per pet, food and water bowls, dog treats and pooh clean up bags, but we also recommend packing extra towels from home to dry your dog off and a bed sheet to cover furniture. 

If you intend to spend most of the trip without your dog, bring a portable kennel with you to keep your dog safe while in a new environment.  Even the most well behaved dogs will behave differently when left unattended in a home they are not familiar with. 

Please take responsibility for any damage that your dog may cause.  The most common damage caused by our dog guests is scratched wood work. When a dog is left in a room unattended; they will scratch the door wanting to get in or out, please do not leave your best friend unattended. 

Don’t forget their leash, any medications, and favorite toy.

Pet Damage

The registered guest is responsible for any and all injuries and/or damages to person or property caused by any pet brought in, at, or around the Property.

Pet Waste

Thank you in advance for cleaning up after your pet and disposing of wast promptly.

Laws

Guest will comply with any and all applicable pet laws, ordinances, regulations, rules, policies.  

Black Butte Ranch Leash Laws 

Dogs shall not be permitted to run loose or unattended. Dogs shall be under control of their owner at all times (verbal or with a leash). Persons walking dogs shall have a leash in their possession at all times.  

For the safety and cleanliness of all guests and owners at the ranch please refrain from bringing your pet onto the ranch tennis courts and in and around the swimming pools.

While the ranch is set in a unique, rural setting and in the spirit of keeping peace and tranquility a top priority for all, please be kind in helping to keep barking and other noise disturbances to a minimum. 
 

Pet-Free Properties

Pets are not permitted in, at, or around any pet-free properties.  Black Butte Ranch has many dog-friendly properties.  Therefore, if a guest discovers that he or she has mistakenly rented a pet-free property, Black Butte Ranch will make a commercially reasonable effort to help the guest find accommodations for your dog, generally at a licensed dog kennel facility in the Sisters or Bend areas at the owners expense.  Guests should understand that all cancellation policies and fees apply, including nonrefundable room nights for early departures, additional cleaning fees and any damages caused by your pet in a non-pet friendly home.
