Several specials spots that are a "must" during your Central Oregon vacation at Black Butte Ranch:
1. Climb the top of Black Butte - from the top of Black Butte you will have 270 degree views of central Oregon and the surrounding mountain landscape.
2. Visit Paulina Springs, which is located at the western side of Black Butte Ranch. This is a natural spring, which is fed from underneath the ground, it is truly an amazing natural feature that everyone should view when they are here.
3. Have an evening meal or beverage at the Lodge or in the Aspen Lounge - The most beautiful sunsets take place at the Lodge and having a meal or sharing conversation with a beautiful backdrop is special and also memorable.

Spring is a beautiful time to see the Black Butte Ranch wake up from the winter. Melting snow, gives way to outstanding local trail hikes, mountain biking, using the paved bike trails, bird watching and fishing. All of these are perfect vacation activities to bring your camera along, as the pictures and scenery are outstanding in our central Oregon vacation destination.
Fall provides some of the best Oregon golf and scenery imaginable! With the warm glow of summer still lingering, golfers and outdoor enthusiasts have plenty of daylight to play into the evening. September in Sisters is filled with festivals and artistic events, and there's always something new to see. Photography in the Aspens, a photography workshop, happens as the leaves begin to change in October. Tennis, biking and swimming continue to take place at Glaze Meadow Recreation Center and the pools.
Winter provides a quiet time of tranquility at Black Butte Ranch. It is a perfect time to find our winter vacation destination and sit by a crackling fire, share time with family and friends, while being inspired by the majestic views of snow covered Cascade Mountain peaks. Nordic skiing and snowshoeing takes place on the Ranch, while Hoodoo Ski area and other Oregon snow parks are a quick 5 miles up the road in the Central Oregon Cascades.
