Rec Barn
The Rec Barn is housed in the original mechanics building from the early Oregon homestead days at Black Butte Ranch. It is located at 12940 Hawks Beard, between the Lakeside Bistro Take & Bake Pizza and the Country House Condos. Kids camp, arts and crafts, a playground and video arcade are located there. Sports equipment, games and other activities are available for rent or checkout. Try your skill at our 25 foot climbing wall during the summer.
Kids Programs
Kids programs at the Rec Barn run during seasonally during the summer (Generally mid—June through Labor Day) and on holidays—check the Whats Happening at the Ranch Guide, or call 541.595.1282 for current activities.
The Rec Barn provides supervision for those children enrolled in scheduled recreation programs. Oregon State law states that unless children under 10 are enrolled in a child care program, they must have an adult supervisor and may not be left unattended for any activity. All visitors should know their Ranch phone number and address.
Special Programs during the Summer*
Kids Activities & Kids Day Camp take place at the Rec Barn by the Lodge. Rec Barn and Arcade are open 8am—9pm Call 541.595.1282 for more information.
DAY CAMP 9am—12pm & 1pm—4pm, lunch 12pm—1pm. 1/2 day $25 ($35 with lunch.) Full day $50 (includes lunch.) Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays. Ages 4—10. Children must be able to put on their own swimsu

PARENT’S NIGHT OUT(PNO): 6pm—9pm $20 w/o dinner, $26 with dinner. Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays. Ages 4—10 Pre—registration is encouraged, but drop—ins are welcome.
EXTRA SESSIONS & EXTENDED TIMES Planning a Monday night movie without the kids? Hoping for an afternoon of golf on a Tuesday? Contact the staff at the Rec Barn! We will gladly schedule extra day—camp and PNO sessions, or extend the time offered on an existing program to suit your needs! Arrangements must be made at least one day in advance, and are staff dependent. Minimum number of participants required.
CRAFTS & ACTIVITIES AT THE REC BARN Prices vary depending on the CRAFTSS or activity and are noted.
SPORTS EQUIPMENT The Rec Barn also has a wide variety of sports equipment that can be checked out for FREE, as well as fly rods and GPS units that can be rented hourly or daily.
GEOCACHING The Ranch has a private geocache course set up to take you on a nature walk treasure hunt. Rent GPS units from the Rec Barn for $5 hr/$20 day for on or off—ranch adventures for the whole family! If you are unsure how to use them, check the schedule for a “Geocaching 101” class that includes hands—on instruction and GPS rental.
Pre—registration is encouraged for Stand up Paddle classes, Kids Kayak and Canoe classes and the Basic Skill Climbing Class. 541.595.1282
KAYAK ROLL CLASS Learn to Kayak with Current Experiences in a fun and safe environment! Class covers basic skills and introduction to T—rescues and rolling techniques. Participants must be at least 90 pounds. Pre—registration is required at the Rec Barn. Meets Fridays at 7pm at South Meadow Pool during the summer. Call 541.595.1282 for more info.

The Arcade
The Arcade is also located at the Rec Barn in the adjoining building. Arcade games include :Dance Dance Revolution, Motocross Racing, Aliens— Extermination, Monopoly Pinball, The Fast and the Furious, Lethal Enforcers, Extreme Hunting II, Area 51, and Crazy Taxi. Along with those video games we also have a Pool Table, a Ping-Pong Table, and an Air Hockey Table. There is a change machine and a candy vending machine. The change machine takes $1’s, $5’s, $10’s, & $20’s.

Glaze Meadow Recreation Center
The second recreation hub, the Glaze Meadow Recreation Center (GMRC) is located at the center of the Ranch and includes pools, hot tub, steam room, Sports Shop, Rental Shop, fitness rooms and Spa.
